Visit to Sydney

16 October 2017 | General Interest

In the days before the 8th Chapter of the Dominican Sisters of Eastern Australia and the Solomon Islands, a group of novices and sisters in temporary profession from the Solomon Islands, have been exploring areas of Sydney and the Hunter Valley, visiting St Mary’s Cathedral, Mary MacKillop Place, the Opera House, Darling Harbour and Manly.

A trip to the Hunter Valley has enabled them to visit the foundation convent of the Order in Australia at Maitland, and the sisters in the various communities and schools associated with the Dominican Order.

On their return to Sydney they will visit Santa Sabina College, Catherine Sullivan Centre and St Lucy’s school before attending the Kairos Gathering of all the Sisters from Australia and the Solomon Islands.
